Here’ s your Silver Market Update for the first week of November 2015. Can you believe it’s November already?? It was truly a remarkable Summer-Fall for the Silver Market. As I posted previously here, the market experienced an unprecedented Physical Silver Shortage.
The Physical Silver Shortage, such as 1oz .999 Silver Rounds (pictured) continues into September. Delivery dates are being delayed and there have been some premiums increases. The situation is somewhat fluid, with supply being rationed out. If interested in purchasing physical silver, we encouraged you to directly contact San Diego Coin (858)569-5222 or La Jolla Coin (858) 459-2228 for up to the minute pricing and availability.
Physical Silver in Short Supply. Here’s why. On July 8th of this month (July) Silver hit $15.00 per troy ounce, down from $15.65 at the beginning of the month. We saw a bounce back up from that support level in the days following. Yet on July 16th Silver prices dipped below the psychological support level of $15.00/oz and things got funky in the world of physical silver!
Beginning in 1986, the United States once again started minting silver dollars. These silver dollars came to be known as American Silver Eagles Coins.
The 1oz Gold American Buffalo Coins are the first .9999 fine (24 karat) struck by the U.S. mint. Production of 24-karat American Buffalo Gold Coins was authorized by Public Law 109-145, dated December 22, 2005, known as the Presidential $1 Coin Act.

Pure Gold Swiss PAMP Bars are a very economical and convenient way to own physical gold. The 1 troy ounce weight (pictured above) is by far the most popular size in the market. Each bar weighs exactly 31.10 troy grams, which is 1oz. The fineness of the gold is pure, .9999/1000. Pure gold has a warm, bright yellow/orange color, as opposed to the alloyed products which exhibit a bit more of a coppery-yellow.
The 2015 1oz Silver Kookaburra Coins are here! These gorgeous one ounce .999 fine silver coins are freshly minted and just arrived from Australia!! They feature a new design, as the Perth Mint in Australia changes the design each year. This year’s design (which is the same as 1990, more on that below) features on the obverse a single Kookaburra bird perched on a tree stump facing right. FYI- the Kookaburra is NOT Australia’s National Bird, that would be the Emu (which is rather unsightly and most likely not coin worthy!). The reverse of the coin, as always, features the profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, crowned and facing to the right.
Gold Swiss 20 Franc Coins
From the Vreneli series minted by the Switzerland government, the Gold Swiss 20 Franc Coin is the most popular one and it was minted between 1897 and 1935 and also in 1947 and 1949. Other denominations belonging to this series are the 10 and 100 Francs gold coins. Continue reading Gold Swiss 20 Franc Coins
