The Act of April 22 1864 authorized the minting of bronze U.S. Two Cent Coins. Many people are unaware that the United States ever had a two cent piece. They were minted between 1864 and 1872 for general circulation. A relatively short run of mintage and therefore fairly easy to collect and complete a set. These U.S. Two Cent Coins can range from as little as $20 in poor grade up to Hundreds of dollars for finer conditions and rarer dates.
In 1921 the United States Mint began minting what became to be known as the Peace Silver Dollars. Both the the Morgan design and Peace Silver Dollar design were minted in the year 1921.
